Pennisa Thailam (Oil for Ozaena)
Simple method of
preparation, yet effective oil that may help with Ozaena (chronic disease of
the nose characterized by a foul smelling nasal discharge).
Thegaai Ennai – (Coconut oil) |
Nochi Chaaru (Juice of Negundovite) |
Soothru Uppu – (Common salt) |
Ingredients:

Thegaai
Ennai – (Coconut oil) – 1.3 litres
|
Nochi
Chaaru (Juice of Negundovite) – 0.65 litre
|
Soothru Uppu
– (Common salt) – 35 grams
|
Preparation:
Take 1.3 litres of coconut and 0.65 litre of Noochi Chaaru and mix them well in a vessel.
Grind Common salt to a fine texture and add it to the above
mixture and boil till it reaches wax like consistency. When it is cool, filter
and preserve in glass bottles.
Use this oil for bath and
take hot water bath for 18 days, helps with Pennisa Disorders and also for
Thummi Varma.
